The Alvarado High School Golden Warrior
Marching Band had a terrific 1997 marching season. Our show was entitled A Civil
War Portrait and it was made up of various pieces including "Shenandoah"
and "The Battle Hymn of the Republic." The band did very well, placing 7th
out of our area overall in class 4A. It was also the first year for Mr. Haley when he was
just drumline instructor.
